Almost 40,000 veterans are without shelter in the U.S. on any given night.
The leading causes of homelessness among the veteran population are PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), social isolation, unemployment, substance abuse, but most importantly the lack of affordable housing.

Big Mama’s House believes that our veterans matter. Veterans have protected our country and have fought to provide us with a safe place to live and enjoy some of the freedoms that we often take for granted. Therefore, we provide veterans with an affordable living environment that is clean, safe and cultivated to assist those in need of additional assistance with everyday life.

VETERAN SERVICES

Did you know that loneliness is one of the key contributors to veterans depression and high rate of suicide? Veterans undergo unique experiences of loneliness and social isolation that is different from their civilian counterparts and veterans are less likely to seek help.

Big Mama’s House strives to create an ambiance of comradery within the living environment of our veterans. We are partnered with government organizations to help provide our veterans with the assistance they need to overcome many of the illnesses that trail them. It is a shared living environment with peers that occupy similar stories and backgrounds that can connect them and build lifetime friendships. It is at Big Mama’s House where veterans are appreciated and respected.
